Julie Chen Moonves, who was one the original hosts and moderators on The Talk (a Daytime Emmy Award winning talk show) was back on the air to host The Talk on August 5th for its 22nd edition. Then it was when she began writing that her true passion emerged. Her excellent talk show brought her an Emmy. The show was hosted by her co-hosts CBS News weekday morning show The Early Show between 2002 between 2002 and 2010. Prior to this, Chen Moonves was the CBS Morning News' anchor in addition to being the anchor for news for The Early Show. After the terrorist attacks on 9/11 Chen Moonves was able to track down the father of the hijackers and their leader for an exciting and exclusive interview. Chen Moonves interviewed celebrities such as Denzel Washington and Angelina Jolie. She also spoke with ex- New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani as well as Queen Rania. Chen Moonves reported on the Emmy award-winning CBS Sunday Morning program. The program featured stars like Jamie Lee Curtis, Betty White, Jamie Foxx, Katie Holmes, Scarlett Johansson, Matthew McConaughey, Mel Brooks, Robert DeNiro and Jennifer Lopez. Prior to that, she worked as a reporter for ABC NewsOne, the network's associated news service (1992-1995) as well as a desk assistant in ABC News' Los Angeles Bureau (1990-1991) and all the while finishing her last year of university in The University of Southern California. She began her career working as an assistant with ABC News, working on the late-night show Nightline together with Ted Koppel. Ted Koppel remains one of Moonves' journalism heros. Chen Moonves and Ted Koppel collaborated for Anatomy of a Riot - an evening show on television that was awarded the Columbia du-Pont award - which focused on the Los Angeles riots of 1992.
